For what purpose?

 

GPS' allow users to find their bearings by using a signal emitted via a satellite network. To do this, the GPS receiver takes on board an antenna, enabling it to receive satellite signals, and a map library which locates the user's position on a map. Users can also receive real time traffic information via the TMC receiver supplied with specific GPS models.
